Things in the software world are moving faster than ever. Across every modality, AI evals and benchmarks are being surpassed almost monthly. It’s a fascinating time to be a technologist; to work with this AI SDK, coding CLI engine stuff on a daily basis. There is this meme of “feel the AGI”, with the latest tooling harness and models, this is truer than ever. It seems we have found that the product is this superintelligent CLI AI Agent that has full access to bash, fs, mcp servers, tools, the web and is really, really good at coding and commands.
This can be used for not only coding but for every use case; you can essentially put a coding agent on it and it’s done. I have never been so productive in my life, yet at the same time this thing I have done for the last ten years is slowly morphing into this hyperscaled, automated and absolutely astonishing new thing.
I use to write next.js react apps and async node.js functions. Now I am building web services and libraries in Rust with bindings for every language and web framework; completing backburner projects that would have taken months in just a few days or weeks, building Agents that can call these systems at the command line. It is this completely new thing that didn’t exist 2 years ago. It’s crazy how good it is.
Advanced AI that can code is undoubtedly here. It is going to change not just the software world but the entire world forever. It makes sense that coding agents are what are moving everything forward at record pace, where does it go next?
This will be my 12th year writing on this blog. What started as part of a career development class in Barcelona, has turned into a tech blog on bitcoin for many years into weekly newsletters on AI Agents; I enjoy writing and especially writing this particularly at the end of the year.
I am going to make a concentrated effort to not use an LLM to write this year end piece. My year end review and overview. How could I?
I am currently really interested in AI, AI Agents, metaphysics, numerology, astrology, astronomy, computer programming, reinforcement learning, finetuning models, synthetic data, cryptocurrency, nuero-symbolic recursive ai, 3iAtlas, guitar.
I am excited about Robotics, AI Agents, Software Applications focused on delivering outcomes. I think Robotics as a future industry is something to build for. Creating the sales and service components, creating the software upgrades for humanoid robots. Commercial Robotics across every industry.
This year my core focus was on delivering AI Agents across email, chat, socials and voice for fast growing online commerce businesses.
My company works with businesses who sell products / subscription products on the internet and I help them streamline their operations by using AI.
Most of the time this is related to customer experience, operations and orders. We have developed software that can orchestrate orders between systems, we have developed software the can effectively supplement and in some cases completely replace the functional typing on a keyboard output needed in order to run the customer service and operational side of a business.
We have automated millions of requests for our customers handling events such as returns, warranties, order cancellations, subscription modifications and more.
I have developed technology that can automate the core operational infrastructure of an online commerce business. We use AI Agents as the ingress to the engine that is delivered on k8s.
I am using AI to develop software that enables AI first commerce which we are calling a new category call iCommerce.
iCommerce is an engine that is powered by AI agents to autonomously run the business. I developed this system using coding Agents.
I am using the latest Gemini and Nano Banana Pro Image Generation Models with Customers to generate creative. I have worked mostly with orchestrating models using Temporal, using Image models for Combining Images, using Reasoning Models on embeddings. Now CLI sandboxes.
I did a lot of DPO finetuning this year. We built in preferred response, non_preferred response eval creation into our core product. Responses, eval, model finetune flywheel. That is key.

Thoughts on StateSet
Started on 11/23/2019. Going into the 7th year. This past year was a somewhat difficult year for the business. At this stage, we are not really starting from scratch, it’s not a powerpoint presentation we are trying to raise on to build a product. We have customers, revenue etc. We lost two customers in May which was difficult. Navigating that was a real test.
There is so many ups and downs when first starting a company and eventually running a business. This was more of a headwind and adjustment in burn.
2026 the company is in a position to be very successful. We have moved more up market, built real value with AI, can deliver it with excellent time to value and have a repeatable model for on-boarding, improving and managing the training of our AI agents.
We have published multiple open-source libraries and frameworks for RL, embedded libraries and more. We have delivered a software system that can work across Shopify, Netsuite, Fulfillment partners etc.
We have delivered voice AI that can perform outcomes on behalf of customers. We have CLI Coding Agents that are sandboxed.
We have developed Agentic Commerce Protocol Handlers, built a ChatGPT App Template that works with the checkout.
Thoughts on AI Agents
Build CLI agents that can code, lean into tooling, orchestration, evals, finetuning. Lean into the sandbox like environment.
The abstraction is no longer about just calling the model API provider directly.
It’s about giving a coding cli agent a computer, enabling your web application to call this agent that has it’s own full machine and filesystem, and using this to accomplish tasks using natural language across multiple systems using MCP Servers.
The abstraction has evolved from API with tool calling capabilites to containerized CLI AI Agent with bash commands, fs, mcp servers, memories, skills and tools.

0 x 0 on the money matrix. Bitcoin is digital gold in energy space. Bitcoin is. The wave function. Veridical outputs of energy and time.
Thoughts on Stablecoins
USDT, USDC, USDS. This past year we got our first legislation on Stablecoins.

Perhaps the other side of the brain for AI. I have been spending more time in logic prgoramming similar to my prolog days from college. Nuero-Symbolic Recursive AI is very interesting.

End of an Era, 1999-2025, don’t rent a UI to do CRUD on a DB, you have Superintelligence at your fingertips. You have an iron man suit harness.
There will be a shift from paying a saas subscription to rent software from someone to paying for usage tokens or outputs from an AI Agent.

This Next Year
This next year I am focused on doing great work with a great team, building useful software with AI and being the best at what I do.
I think it is inevitable that our global economy will be run using blockchain based digital currencies and AI agents that execute business transactions.
There will be a global network of businesses to execute transactions and AI agents will be the ones executing and verifying these transactions.
Business rules will be codified using neuro-symbolic recursive AI logic and reasoning models to create efficiencies across the global economy.
It is inevitable that AI based software agents and cryptocurrencies are used throughout the world as the next generation of business software.
I will continue to build the mastermind group and devote my energy to drive combinatorial creativity through technology and people.
